Starting in 2007, DJ DeVera began his career at Matrix Nightclub in Pittsburgh, PA. Beginning his career as a lighting technician, his passion for creating live lighting scenes to the music quickly led him to pursue DJing. The prominent megaclub with four distinct music rooms, provided him with the invaluable exposure to diverse genres including Top-40, Hip-Hop, Trance, House, 80’s and Latin music. DeVera received mentorship from resident DJs, which helped him build his music library and develop an understanding of crowd engagement and energy management.
As he took on introductory gigs, he honed his programming style by observing other DJs around the city, which enriched his technique and creativity. Influenced by mentors like Jan Jursa, Digital Dave, and DJ Nugget, DeVera perfected his aggressive mixing style and open-format approach.
Over the last 18 years, DeVera has been involved with an assortment of different artists, radio stations, concerts, and private events. A few that have crossed his path are The Chainsmokers, Laidback Luke, BT, Adventure Club, Seven Lions, Wiz Khalifa, Mac Miller, Kevin Hart, KirillWasHere, Bingo Players, Cheat Codes, Lionsgate Manhunt series, 961KissFM, Star100.7, WAMO100, B94, Hyatt Hotels and Marriott Renaissance Hotels.
In 2021, DeVera relocated to Washington, DC, where he continues to perform at various venues throughout the city.
